About the name:

Salt \’sölt\:an ingredient that gives savor, or zest: flavor. To preserve. To enrich.

As salt enriches and preserves our food, so we need meaning to enrich and preserve our lives. Salt changes the flavor of food forever, meaning changes the perspective of life forever. We all long for our lives to be meaningful, but so often as we are wading through the wounds, hurts, losses and discouragements, we lose sight of the meaning. We need to make space to awaken meaning again and again. Our true meaning is hidden in finding the presence of God over all of our story. Through the process of story work, yoga and meditation on the Word, we will awaken meaning to see new perspective and find healing, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

About the symbol:

The Dandelion

The dandelion holds so much metaphor and meaning, but here is just a little glimpse into why we would choose this as a symbol. Dandelions spread hundreds of seeds in their life and it is when they are stripped bare that they have proven the most fruitful. Our hope is that what you experience and learn here will go with you and spread to your families and communities back home. The dandelion is also a healing plant that is rarely acknowledged as much more than a weed, similarly our healing is often hidden in the ordinary and unlikely, the misidentified and the unacknowledged. We long for the Holy Spirit to reveal to all of us, the beauty and life we have hidden beneath the surface.

About our guests:

Everyone welcome

So if you are finding yourself weary and ready to reconnect with Jesus and others to awaken new meaning and find deeper healing, join us! The yoga is a tool and not the focus our time together. So beginners welcome! Also, you are welcome regardless of your religious background or current identification with Jesus. We are primarily serving women at this time but stay tuned for couples retreats coming in the future.

Spirit /’spirit/: referencing the Holy Spirit, infusion of the essence of Christ.

What if there was more to your story? What if we could awaken new meaning within the places that we have been stuck in a singular narrative? What if we could invite the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to help us reveal the pieces that are missing? Pieces that could help us find deeper freedom and healing that would overflow into our lives forevermore. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a gift and we will practice using this gift during story work, yoga and meditation on the Word, to reveal the lies that have bound us and find the Truth that sets us free.
